7 – Effects of Cellular Warfare

“Flu is not caused by acid. When flu viruses invade our bloodstream, we fight against it by creating white blood cells. The casualties of this war are dead cells from both sides. These dead cells are acidic. If our blood contains an ample bicarbonate, these dead cells are neutralized and discarded and we suffer only a couple of days. If not, the acid accumulation in the body can make the symptoms linger on and the flu can last quite long. While flu vaccine fights only some strands of flu, bicarbonate in the blood is against all kinds of flu strands.” (c)2009 Sang Whang

6 – FIR Heating

(Based on facts from Chapter 6.4 of Reverse Aging)

As was mentioned in an earlier entry, pain is caused when blood circulation gets blocked. When acid accumulates in our bodies over time, it coagulates the blood, blocking blood circulation in the spots where the acid accumulates. Similarly, when we get injured, acid accumulates locally, causing pain around the injured area.

Massages are helpful in increasing blood flow in coagulated areas; however, the acid accumulated deep inside is hard to reach with just a massage. We need something that penetrates deep inside the body. This is where FIR (far infrared) heating can help.

It so happens that the resonant frequency of water is the same as the FIR wave frequency. This being said, the FIR wave can heat water very well, and since over 70% of our body is water, it can heat coagulated areas deep within the body very well. When blood vessels deep inside are heated, they expand to allow easier circulation. More technically put, where the temperature difference in the body is created, the body tries to even the temperature by rushing the blood in and out, and while that happens, the blood carries out the acidic toxins, relieving the pain.

5 – Frontiers For Better Health

Looking back on the history of human diseases, until Dr. Alexander Fleming’s discovery of penicillin in 1928, the major cause of sickness and death was contagious diseases. People didn’t live long enough to worry about cancer, diabetes, heart diseases, etc.

In light of new medical discoveries such as antibiotics, people live longer, but the consequential issue is the accumulation of acidic waste within the body. As people age, acidosis causes all kinds of human diseases (i.e. cancer, diabetes, gout, migraine headaches, acid reflux, arthritis, osteoporosis, heart attacks, high blood pressure, et cetera). For these problems, the most effective acid elimination method is adding bicarbonates to the blood by drinking alkaline water or taking enteric coated alkaline mineral tablets.

When the acid-accumulation issue is resolved, what would be the next life-lengthening frontier? The answer, in my opinion, is the elimination of man-made pollution in the atmosphere. We are destroying our environment to a point that this earth may not be inhabitable for man-kind, unless we do something to reverse the trend.

4 – Oxygen and Life

We need oxygen to live. The irony is: this life-giving oxygen also produces acidic waste. A healthy body is able to do a balancing act between breathing and discharging the waste by exhaling carbon dioxide after inhaling the air.

In hospitals, when doctors treat pulmonary patients with oxygen masks, they constantly measure the carbon dioxide level in the patient’s blood so as not over-acidify too rapidly. They know the oxygen therapy could backfire if the acid in the blood is not carefully monitored.

How does the body neutralize and remove acidic waste naturally? It is the function of bicarbonate (HCO3-) in the blood. Unfortunately, the aging process causes a measurable decrease in blood bicarbonate levels after the age of 45. This is the average age when a normally healthy person develops conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc.

3 – Understanding Pain

Most pain is developed when blood circulation is stopped or slowed down at a particular point in the body. This explains why massages relieve muscle pain: when muscles are massaged, the blood circulation improves, and we feel better. The solution for the pain is improving the blood circulation. Unfortunately, we are quick to take pain pills.

Pain pills do not eliminate the cause of pain but merely block the brain from feeling pain. As the effects of the medicine ware off, the pain comes back, and the side effects of the medicine accumulate in the body.

Increasing alkalinity and supplying bicarbonates to the blood improves blood circulation without the bad side effects of blood thinners.

See www.alkalife.com to learn how to increase alkalinity or bicarbonates in the blood.

2 – Bicarbonates and Blood

In human artery blood, there are two blood buffers: an alkaline buffer (e.g. sodium bicarbonate, or more commonly known as baking soda) and an acid buffer (e.g. carbonic acid, or more commonly known as club soda).

These two buffers control and maintain the pH values of the blood, so that even if one drinks low-pH acidic cola drinks or high pH alkaline water drinks, the pH level is brought back up (or down) to a healthy level.

As long as there are plenty of supplies of both buffers, the blood can maintain the proper pH values, and we feel fine. The trouble is that as we get older, the alkaline buffer begins to run out, while the acid buffer remains in full supply. This imbalance threatens our health. While our blood still manages to maintain a healthy pH level, acid begins gradually accumulating in our bodies. Acid accumulation leads to diseases such as gout, arthritis and osteoporosis. To remove acid from our bodies, our blood needs a bicarbonate “recharge.”

AlkaLife International has several products that supply bicarbonates to the blood.

1 – The Cost of pH Balance

The human body must maintain a fairly constant blood pH value to survive. When the pH value increases or decreases, we feel sick. In extreme cases, we die.

There are many things the body does to maintain the blood pH value. One is to remove carbon dioxides from the blood as they pass through the lungs. (The removal of CO2 from carbonic acid H2CO3 reduces the carbonic acid into water H2O.)

Another process is neutralizing acid minerals by utilizing the alkaline minerals that enter the body. This process takes longer than the first, since it takes time to extract the alkaline minerals from foods.

A third process, the extraction of calcium from the bones, neutralizes any extra poisonous acid minerals in the body, but is costly on the body; Osteoporosis is often a result of this process.

When all the above processes are not enough, the body uses an even more costly process, converting liquid acids into solid acids to reduce the acids. When this happens, solids like triglyceride, cholesterol, fatty acid, uric acid, kidney stones, plaques and lipids are formed. Although these solid build-ups can take a long time to develop, they can also cause greater long-term damage.

The fundamental solution to these issues is to increase the alkalinity of the blood by increasing the bicarbonates in the blood. Doing so reduces the acid solids without the use of pharmaceutical medicine.
